Biljana & Marko

Our very own stylist Biljana said "I do" with her partner of 16 years in Gastown’s beloved french restaurant, L'abattoir. When Biljana and Marko are together, it is nearly impossible not to tilt your head, smile, and take in the love shared between these two.

With an eye for detail and the ability to create a warm and welcoming space no matter where she is, Biljana turned her dream wedding into a reality. From brick walls and exposed beams to a long table, candle-lit dinner adorned with modern black and white accents, every aspect of the decor contributed to bringing their modern city-chic wedding to life. 

Biljana walked arm in arm with her dad down the aisle wearing our Pronovias mermaid gown. Constructed with silk mikado and petal-like bodice features, resembling a beautiful orchid in full bloom. The luxurious fabric gives off a stunning pearly sheen that matched the subtle glisten in everyone's eyes as she made her way down the aisle. 

With an intimate number of 50 people, Biljana and Marko decided to keep their guest list inclusive to those who have not only watched their relationship grow over the years but who helped nurture it along the way. The people who never wavered and always rooted for them and their beautiful love story.

Some advice for future brides from Biljana, our bridal stylist and recent bride: 

"My main piece of advice that I tell everyone is not to let yourself utter the words, 'what if there's something better out there?' The reality is, there always will be. The more you go searching for the 'perfect dress' the more you allow the magic to wear off and the search becomes a daunting task. Don't let yourself forget that this is a memorable time in your life that, if you're lucky enough, you get to share with the people you love. Make it a fond memory, let your emotions take over and allow yourself to get swept up in the fun. No matter what you choose, you will look beautiful."
