Sam and Sumit’s modern day love story was commemorated with a week-long celebration filled with lots of laughter and unwavering support from their loved ones. With countless favorite moments, Sam will never forget her walk down the aisle towards Sumit’s ear to ear smile, knowing she was marrying her soulmate. 

Over their five day wedding the couple chose UBC’s Rose Garden to say their “I dos”. The florals and intimate space of the garden allowed the couple to have a moment surrounded by their closest loved ones. Once the festivities began, Vancouver Hotel’s gilded ballroom provided a luxurious reception perfect for dancing the night away with all of their friends and family. Sam and Sumit’s multi-venue wedding allowed them to perfectly encapsulate their love for both romance and nature. 

Sam shimmered in a traditional golden lehenga for her ceremony and chose our Raciela gown by Pronovias Atelier for the upscale reception. The luxurious crepe fabric of the gown creates a minimalistic, yet show stopping look and really enhances the body’s curve. For an added feminine touch, the dress is completed with a subtle sweetheart neckline and detachable off the shoulder sleeves. 

Advice from Sam for brides searching for their gown: “Never settle, if you don't feel it's right, then keep looking. I shopped at 5 stores prior to finding my dress at Rituals of Love, from Vancouver to LA to San Diego. Remember to enjoy the process, but also to listen to your gut. Your perfect dress is out there, don't give up.”

More words from Sam: “I would recommend Rituals of Love to everyone, I had the best experience at this store. Everyone at the store always made me feel welcomed and I was able to find my dress. I had the best time there, seeing how the team was so happy and how they treated customers, made me think  -" this isn't just a shop for the owner, this is her everything." I can't explain it, I went to a lot of stores, I mean around 20 shops including Indian boutiques. I never felt like I could connect with the stylist or dresses. Sam at Rituals just made me feel at home, she was so sweet, so caring and thoughtful. I could go on and on about her and the store. Brides are always under so much stress and being around people that are caring makes those moments a thousand times better.”
