Amanda & Michael

A completely timeless couple, after 11 years together, Amanda and Michael promised forever. In the heart of downtown Vancouver, the couple chose The Permanent as their haven of celebration for the day.  

Rich with character, Amanda had the once Bank of Canada bookmarked for years. The heritage style of the Permanent made this a stand out venue for the couple as it had features very reminiscent to their first apartment together. It’s easy to be won over by the space’s towering ceilings, stained glass, and tile mosaics but for them it was a nod to the beginnings of their relationship. 

Amanda wore our Vicenta Gown by Pronovias Atelier. A classic mermaid silhouette with an endless train adorned in rose lace that continues up the body. The budding floral motif continues over a mesh bodice to give a tattooed illusion across the back and shoulder. The hand application of lace gives this gown an organic and romantic feel. 

The couple enjoyed a quiet moment alone with just each other and their vows before they danced and celebrated the night away with their friends and family. Congratulations Amanda and Michael, we are so excited to have been a small part of your special day! 

Amanda’s advice for brides searching for their dress: 

“Trust your instincts, choose what you feel best in, and once you find the one, stop looking! I loved so many different dress styles and thought I would have the hardest time choosing. However, after trying on a few I quickly realized I felt more like myself in a particular style, so I focused on that. When I described the style to the staff at Rituals of Love, they pulled a dress they thought would be perfect. When I tried it on, I loved it so much that I bought it on the spot and canceled the other appointments I had that day.”
